Macy's Logistics and Operations has a great opportunity for a Manager of Receiving in their Distribution Center.
Key Accountabilities:  
  • Oversee inbound receiving, unloading of freight and expediting merchandise flow to processing areas
  • Insure timely accurate loading of new receipts, transfers, returns and hangers.
  • Facilitate questions and resolve problems from carriers.
  • Monitor and review expense/budget
  • Participate on Six Sigma projects as required.
  • Manage, coach develop and provide leadership for associates on a daily basis.
  • Create and maintain a safe and friendly working environment.
  • Any other responsibilities management deems essential.

  • Must possess exceptional leadership skills.
  • Ability to make sound decisions and manage several processes in a fast paced environment, while the challenging status quo.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Bachelors degree preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Required (Word, Excel, Lotus Notes)
  • Interpersonal competencies to include: integrity and trust, adaptability, leadership, motivation ability, coaching and mentoring skills, and initiative.
  • Business and intellectual competencies to include:  industry understanding of warehouse management,
  • Ability to successfully supervise/execute multiple projects simultaneously.
