In this integral role, you’ll lead the team that drives the outreach to external candidates, and supports the strategy that will communicate our mission, core values, culture, and commitment to social responsibility. This position is based in Cincinnati, OH or New York, NY

    

Essential Functions:

  • Lead and develop a team of sourcing specialists in identifying and attracting candidates for all external high volume and professional positions in prioritized areas across all Macy’s business functions.
  • Communicate recommended best practices for leveraging the sourcing team.

  • Develop market-specific sourcing and marketing campaigns that are creative and innovative based on recruiting trends and competitive landscape for both high volume and professional roles.

  • Provide direction to external agency and job board partners(LinkedIn, Indeed, GlassDoor)  to regularly evaluate sourcing and marketing strategies and methods, scale-up those that work and discontinue those that don’t.

  • Research and evaluate new job boards and platforms to attract new candidates.

  • Establish communication cadence with business partners to understand priorities, make recommendations and create campaigns to support.

  • Partner with the Analytics teams to ensure appropriate attraction methods are being utilized and results are communicated to the appropriate audiences.

  • Regular, dependable attendance & punctuality.

Qualifications:

 

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations or equivalent degree.

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Marketing.  

Communication Skills:

  • Ability to read, write and interpret instructional documents such as reports and procedure manuals.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Mathematical Skills:

  • Basic math functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division. 

Reasoning Ability: 

  • Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision. 

Physical Demands: 

  • This position involves extended periods of sitting and the extensive use of computer and the office equipment.

  • May involve stooping, kneeling, or crouching. Involves close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.   

Other Skills: 

  • A creative thinker and doer; builds and drives innovative strategies to improve quality candidate generation.

  • A high energy self-starter who is intellectually curious and passionate about candidate engagement experiences.

  • Someone with strong project management skills; ability to juggle multiple projects, organize, and prioritize a number of complex initiatives. 

  • Someone with a relentless approach to nailing the details, driving process, and managing to goals.

  • A digital marketer with experience developing recruitment websites/microsites and familiarity with best practices and leading innovations.

  • Someone knowledgeable about brand insights, brand positioning and value propositions, brand creative, assets and messaging, website content, SEO, planning, campaigns, collateral, events, social media, and communications. 

Work Hours: 

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule based on department and store/company needs. 

  • Some travel required.
