Job Overview:


Provide system and training support related to PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) and Process enhancements.  Assist with new system development, testing and training.


Key Relationships:

·         Designers (All FOBs), Colorists (All FOBs), Product/Merchant (All FOBs), Learning and Development (L&D), Private Brand Technology (PBT) and Fabric R&D (All FOBs)

·         BPI (Business Process and Initiatives) Extended Management teams and staff

·         Macy’s Systems and Technology Teams (MST)

·         Overseas Offices (OSO)


Essential Functions:

  • Provide frontline customer systems support to the PLM Community
  • Assist with PLM system initiatives including new Brand roll-outs and enhancement phases and projects
  • Assist with testing PLM and other related enhancements, applications or software
  • Assist with training efforts for user community on PLM including creating training videos using Snag-it and maintaining SharePoint portal housing training documents and videos.
  • Support communication process between BPI and the Business Community on system changes, enhancements and issues
  • Provide troubleshooting support for all PLM issues and needs
  • Create and maintain running log of issues and call outs utilizing Jira
  • Analyze and evaluate issues and communicate resolution to users
  • Work with manager and larger team to resolve issues in a timely manner
  • Support user meetings and touch points
  • Use independent judgment to support the strategic vision within the area, abide by operational policies and directives, communicate progress towards goals and objectives
  • Monitor application operational performance, escalate and direct as required
  • Provide world class customer service with an emphasis on courtesy




·         Bachelor’s Degree, 0-3 year’s relevant job experience

·         Strong Microsoft Excel, Word and Power Point skills (Experience with Jira, SharePoint and other web based applications helpful)

·         General knowledge of a PC’s operating system

·         Strong knowledge of the product development process (retail experience recommended)

·         Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with multi-disciplinary subject matter experts

·         Ability to communicate, orally and in writing, technical information to business users in a simple and understandable format
