Overview of Position:
As Director of Store Construction you will direct the implementation of the capital construction program for an assigned store division to include all new stores, remodel and expansion projects. Specific job responsibilities include the following:
Key Accountabilities:
 | Provide leadership and motivation to a team of Project Managers and Construction Administrators in the execution of project assignments throughout the development process from inception through completion. |
 | Assure all project development activities are performed in a timely and professional manner. These include budget/scope development, phasing plans, schedules, bidding, negotiation and award, construction administration and closeout. |
 | Interact with Store Planning, Store Design, architects, developers, contractors and other consultants to insure compliance with all policies, best practice standards, scope of work and approved budget. |
 | Assist in the completion of all CER submissions. |
 | Oversee the process of promoting on-going development of new resources. |
 | Complete all projects on time and on budget. |
Skills Summary:
 | Four year, undergraduate degree in Construction Management, Architecture, or related field. |
 | Ten or more years of experience in construction project management in a retail environment. |
 | Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel. |
 | Outstanding oral and written communication skills. |
 | Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment juggling multiple projects and priorities. |
 | Prior supervisory experience. |
 | Ability to travel. |
