Connecticut

Working at Macy's East, Macy's Logistics and Operations or macys.com in Connecticut is a perfect place for someone not interested in dealing with the hustle and bustle of a giant metropolis up-close-and-personal, but who still wants a little class, charm and style. With its breathtaking natural beauty and eclectic culture, Connecticut may be just what the doctor ordered.

Danbury is a nature lover's dream. Surrounded by forests, lakes and hiking trails, you will be amazed that New York City is only an hour and a half away. Locals fish, boat and enjoy nature at Danbury's two nearby lakes, Candlewood and Kenosia. Golfers will get to know Richter Park Golf Course - it's widely known as one of the best city courses in the country.

Looking for a little culture? During the summer, the area boasts two of the best outdoor theater productions in the state. Danbury's Musicals at Richter is a series of productions at the Arts Center Stage. Shakespeare on the Sound in Norwalk is a three-week festival of Shakespearean plays. People travel from all over the state to sit in the grass along Five Mile River and take in the free sights and sounds. Art aficionados will also want to visit Ridgefield's Aldrich Museum of Contemporary Arts and the Richter Association for the Arts Annual Juried Art Show. Another not-to-miss festival in the area is the Danbury Summertime Festival of the Arts, which features live music and art exhibitions.

The Tuxedo Junction club is the place to be on the weekends. Danbury natives flock there to eat, drink, dance, listen to live acts and even catch comedy shows from time to time. The club fills up as the night goes on, so get there early to reserve your spot at the party.

Stamford is a little bit big city and a little bit New England sea town. Located a mere 35 miles from the Big Apple, Stamford offers its residents a taste of metropolitan living with the added charm of a beautiful New England coastline.

Only two other cities in the country can claim more Fortune 500 companies than Stamford. Among the collection of well-known companies that call Stamford home include Xerox, Champion International and World Wrestling Entertainment (formerly the WWF).
