"I've had a classic retailing career in that I've been back and forth between stores and merchandising positions. I've done just about every job there is to do, and that has helped give me a very wide range of experiences. I worked my way through college selling men's and women's clothing on a sales floor. That, combined with more experience on the sales floor later on, has helped me to become a much more visual merchant. One of the advantages of staying within Macy's, Inc. is that you become part of a family environment. You trust the people you work with. You develop an understanding and a friendship.
