Technology Internship/Technical Support
During this 120 hour paid Fall-internship in New York, you'll provide a high level of technical support to the PC and Macintosh users of macys.com. Through hands-on learning and collaboration, you'll learn to diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve a variety of hardware and software issues.
What you have the opportunity to do
- Perform applications and software tests to confirm stability and functionality
- Update inventory information assets to users in inventory database
- Document, track and monitor problems to ensure timely resolution
- Maintain, upgrade and/or replace hardware and software
- Respond to client inquiries regarding hardware (such as additions, moves and changes to peripherals)
- Provide equipment and software application training for users
- Set up new accounts, manage group lists and resolve e-mail issues in Lotus Notes
- Junior year status working toward a Bachelor's degree with a solid academic record
- Exposure to Macintosh OSX (10.2 to 10.3)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of applications
- Exposure to Citrix, Lotus Notes 6, Timbuktu Pro, FileMaker Pro 6/7
- Exposure to Adobe software including Acrobat/Acrobat Reader 6, Photoshop CS, Illustrator CS
- Ability to meet tight deadlines while working both independently and as part of a team
