Terry Lundgren
Chairman and President/CEO
Terry is a renowned innovator who is leading Macy’s, Inc. to a new level of success. His approach encompasses enhanced merchandise assortments, simplified pricing, improving the shopping experience and distinctive marketing. In his career at Macy’s, Inc., Terry has championed the development and marketing of highly successful private-brand merchandise programs, spearheaded efforts to “reinvent” the department store and focused on fine-tuning the Macy’s and Bloomingdale’s brands.

Terry joined the company right out of the University of Arizona. By age 34, he was president of a $120 million specialty store division in Los Angeles. He left briefly to be chairman and CEO of Neiman-Marcus, but returned to head Macy’s Merchandising Group. In 1997, at age 44, Terry was promoted to be the company’s highest-ranking merchant. He became CEO at age 50 and chairman at 51.

Tom Cole
Chief Administrative Officer
Tom is responsible for operations function and non-financial corporate functions, including credit, logistics, systems, property development, non-merchandise purchasing, human resources, corporate communications and employee relations. In addition, Tom has administrative responsibility for law and internal audit functions that report directly to the CEO.

Tom began his retailing career at Allied Stores Corporation in 1972 after graduating from Kent State University. He joined Macy’s in 1980 as vice president/controller of I. Magnin – an upscale specialty store division and owned by our company at the time. Later, Tom moved to New York as senior vice president of finance and administration at the Macy’s Merchandising Group. He then moved to Cincinnati to become senior vice president of financial services for our Lazarus department store division. Later, he returned to New York as Macy’s Merchandising Group’s president and COO before assuming his current responsibilities.

Karen Hoguet
Executive Vice President & Chief Financial Officer
Karen M. Hoguet was elected executive vice president and chief financial officer of Macy's, Inc. in May 2005. She is responsible for all of the company's financial functions, as well as Area Research. Previously, Hoguet served as senior vice president and chief financial officer, a position she had held since 1997. Hoguet joined the company in 1982 from the Boston Consulting Group and served in a range of financial management capacities, including senior vice president for planning and treasurer of the corporation.

Jeff Gennette
Chief Merchandising Officer, Macy’s
Jeff is responsible for all buying and merchandising functions for Macy's nationwide, as well as for relations with market vendor partners. He was named to this position in February 2009 upon the announcement of the new My Macy’s structure. Prior to this role, Jeff was chairman and CEO of Macy's West since February 2008 after serving as chairman of Macy's Northwest in Seattle since December 2005, and EVP and director of stores for Macy's Central in Atlanta since 2004. In 2001, Jeff was SVP/general merchandise manager at Macy's West. Jeff joined Macy's West in 1983 as an executive trainee and also has served with FAO Schwarz and Broadway stores.

Julie Greiner
Chief Merchandise Planning Officer, Macy’s
Julie is responsible for centralized merchandise planning and assortment allocations by store, as well as the district/region merchandise planning structure and function for Macy’s. She was named to this position in February 2009 upon the announcement of the new My Macy’s structure. Previously, Julie was chairman and CEO of Macy's Florida since July 2005. Prior that that, she served as senior executive vice president of the Bloomingdale's and was named its director of stores in April 1998. Julie began her retailing career in 1975 at J. W. Robinson's in Los Angeles and rose through positions of increasing responsibility in the merchandising and stores organizations. She joined Bloomingdale's in October 1993.

Ron Klein
Chief Stores Officer, Macy’s
Ron is currently responsible for the nationwide portfolio of Macy's stores, including the My Macy's region and district organizations. Prior to this position, he was chairman and CEO of Macy's East, after serving as chairman of Rich's/Lazarus/Goldsmith's in Atlanta. Previously, he served as vice chairman and director of stores for Macy's East, and chairman of Stern's in New Jersey. Ron began his retail career in 1974 as a buyer at Bloomingdale's and served in merchandising positions of increasing responsibility before moving to Macy's in 1998.
